Wasn't sure if my 8 year old daughter would like riding or not. I now have my answer...she absolutely loves it! :) I can't climb on the bike without her wanting to go. Sweet! Although mom claims that's her seat, my daughter says it's hers.....there's contention afoot. lol

Awesome! Start them early! My twins love going for a ride, although they are 14 now and my boy is now searching Craig's list for a a 48, 72, or 883 bobber...
I see also you are riding in a group with friends from the east?

I just read your post with a smile on my face....my story is same as yours but my daughter is 11 & its a fight for "the seat" from my 13 yr old son, my 11 yr old daughter & my wife !

Ride safe, family 1st !!!!

Templar- Love the photo with her, I'm jealous! Mine is grown now

Very cool man. Yall be safe. I have two step children (10 year old girl and 6 year old boy); both would love to ride and have asked me multiple times, but my wife doesn't feel comfortable with them riding. Maybe that will change one day!

How old is old enough? My wife keeps saying, "when he's 18". She doesn't ride - she doesn't get it. My son is 6 - I don't think he's mature enough yet...one day

Start them off young... teach them the rules of safe riding. I have a friend that has an 8 year old that can handle a 125 (off a milk crate) he is a great rider for his age... his dad has a Harley for him already

I agree with starting young. I grew up on dirt bikes so by the time I started street riding I didn't have to learn how to ride a motorcycle. I just needed to learn the rules of the street! :)

exactly.....

I agree start them young and they will have all the basics needed for street riding. Same but different rules I started mine driving a pickup at 6 so if something happened they could get to help. Used to feed cows and 1 steered while the other ran the throttle and brake and that helped with team work also.
