Finally plan on getting my butt in the seat of a Street Glide this coming winter, spring or sooner if tomorrows debut of the new bikes doesn't sit well. I've had a pile of Hondas over the years and even had a '79 Sporty kicker that I rode to Strugis in'95. I kept putting it off thinking it was the right thing. Now, it "IS" the right thing to do. I have been reading a lot of stuff here today. Glad I found this sight.

Welcome the new 14s were announced today and the look sweet!

Welcome and good luck on your search. I looked over the new models Harley posed on the website this morning. Need to see them in person I think. Not sure how I feel about the new fairing design.

Good luck with the purchase and enjoy the new ride. Welcome from Bama.

Well, I bought a new '13 Street Glide today in Midnight Pearl color. Pick it up next Wednesday. They are gonna do a Stage 1 kit with 4" Rineharts and eliminate the cats. Then add a back rest, 4 pt. docking hardware and maybe a rack and take off the heal shift lever for now. Pretty stoked right now. Got around $1700 off the sticker and the first 1K check up thrown in.

Welcome and enjoy the new ride. I was going to take off the heel shifter when I went to the SG from a Dyna but my buddy talked me into trying it for a while first. It only took one day and I was sold.

I may give it a shot later. I haven't rode in 10 years or more with the exception of a test ride last year. Thanks for the welcome. The 28th, next Wednesday, cannot come quick enough.

Got her last night. beautiful evening for a ride. Went out after work for a couple hours. Feels pretty good. Gonna stay away from Milwackee this weekend. I hate driving there in a pick-up much less on 2 wheels. Will get some pics posted in awhile. Haven't had my wife on the back yet. Maybe this weekend. She did get some nice leather at the shop last night though. They were selling bikes FAST. Open Road Harley in Fond Du Lac, Wi. is about 50 minutes from Milwackee. People must just be buying to go to the 110th. I saw 3 '14 Limiteds go out myself the 3 hours I was there. Now you add the clothes sales, motels, food, etc..pretty good week for Wisconsin's economy.

Yeah there are a lot of bikes in Milwaukee this weekend. I live just south of the FIB line and my wife and I rode up Friday morning to stay at her friends house just outside Milwaukee. We went to a few events and rode back down Saturday night. As always the city's folks showed great hospitality to the visitors and yes I left a bunch of cash there as well. We also stopped at Racine Harley where we buy our bikes and the wife started talking to our salesguy about trading the sporty in soon so the trip may get real expensive, LOL!

Oh, and of course congrats on the new ride and ENJOY!
