Got a 2015 Street Glide, bought it in July as early Bday gift to myself! Love it! Quirks and all... Thinking like this is going to be a long term bike for me. I have had a LOT of bikes over the years and had a 98 Fatboy I bought new for about two years, most of the bikes I have had in the past have been sport bikes, I have had most of the major manufactures 1000cc (R1, GSX-R, ZX's) and 600cc (R6, GSX-R 600 & 750, ZX6's ZX7, 636) sportbikes and had a Ducati 999R... This SG is nowhere close to the power or handling of the sport bikes, but it has some character. I have over 3000 miles on it in less than 2 months and am liking the bike more than I had hoped, brakes are WAY better than the 98 I had, power is ok (for now), Suspension needs some help (scary over 85 mph and sharp bumps and sometimes in corners a wobble if I hit some bumpy pavement), but it is a comfortable bike and staying under 85 was the idea behind getting this over the newest R1 or BMW S1000.. I know a little suspension upgrading and I can get rid of most of my issues I have with the suspension and will probably probably be getting attention at the top of the list along with exhaust.

Welcome to the boards.....I went through the same transition at about 35 and never looked back.....as you mention it's a very different kind of riding but great just the same!!

I spent my whole life in So Cal before moving to Havasu about 4 years ago.....Happy to be out of CA but at least I can still see CA from my door :D

Cheers!

Welcome to the fun. Pretty helpful group here with no drama. Upper right hand corner for search and if you can't find it just ask.
