Hey all!

I am looking for a new seat. My cousin has a Corbin classic solo with passenger pad that he swears by. I am sure I would be thrilled with the classic solo Corbin but I have read a lot about wives not loving the Corbins.

I am looking for input from you guys. I hope some of you have some good experience or otherwise with these. I know that service sucks but if the product is great I can live with it once.

Thanks

Welcome to the fun. I hear a lot of things good about Corbin so it's a personal choice I guess. Lots of people are using the ultra seats with good luck. There are several threads on here about seats use the search in the upper right corner.

Welcome!
A couple of weeks ago I purchased a Mustang Summit Vintage seat #76860 made specifically for 2014-16 Rushmore Harley's. I really love the Mustang. Very comfortable and isolates the road way more than HD because the seat pan is ridgid fiberglass with rubber bumpers to the frame unlike Harley's flimsy flexible plastic. I had tried a Harley Tallboy seat which is basically a stretched HD Sundowner seat. Stock Street Glide seats are approx 1 1/2" farther back than Ultra seats for the driver (measure from the rear fender attachment screw) so an Ultra seat on a SG will move you forward. The Mustang seat is advertised as moving the driver back 1 3/4" but that is when installed on the Ultra so the Mustsang IS basically in the stock position.
My lady also appreciates the improved ride.

Low & Slow,

Blues

Thanks for all of the info! I have Eyeballed the summit a bit, I like the solo look if the wife isn't going to ride with me. Maybe I will just have to get a solo also for such occasions!!!

Just ordered the Corbin Classic Solo, Touring pillion and backrest.

I will let you know how it goes!

I've had Corbin seats on my last 4 bikes and I swear by them...............probably a 100K miles on them and I have trouble riding a bike with the stock seat even long enough to get it home from the dealership. They take some getting used to but once you have had a Corbin it's difficult to ride anything else.........oh yeah the wife love it too :D

Good luck.....once you make it past the first 500-1000 miles you will love it and be able to ride many, many miles in a day!

HDMCGuy - what do you think of the seat now that you've had it for a while? I'm considering the exact same seat, so hopefully you're still monitoring your posts and can provide an update.

Saw solo Corbin with the oval backrest on a road Glide . Fell in love til I told the wife the set up was $700+

Fitted the Harley Hammock and 7" screen, best change to the bike for long distance riding two up

I know the Corbin is spendy but I have had it for a while now and it is great. I love the look and the comfort. The best part is my wife likes it too.

I have the Mustang Wide Tripper and love it. Then when the wife goes I just put on the rear Tripper pad for her. I love to solo look. Really can't stand the 1 piece seat that has a pad soft enough for the wife when ride 1 up.
