Hello everyone. Have to admit I've been going on this forum almost every day for over a month and would like to finally introduce myself. My name is Frank and I live just outside NYC. I traded my 2005 Heritage for a 2014 Special the end of September. The forum is very informative and everyones attitude is great. I only have a 1000 miles on my bike and am still getting used to the differences. In the beginning, I wanted my 05 back mainly because of the smooth ride around town. On the road, the Glide has it all over the Heritage at high speed. The bottom line is that I want to ride it every chance I get.....must be falling in love!
PS....if I had the room, I would like to buy back my Heritage for sentimental reasons.

Welcome from Reno, NV

Got on that bad boy and ride! make sure your rear shocks are preloaded to your weight...if not ride will suffer... at 195 lbs i am up 2-3 clicks and its a much better ride... play with it and dial it in

Welcome to the forum Frank, I did keep my old bike but I haven't rode it since I got the glide. Actually I tried once and the battery shorted out and started to smoke. Needless to say I about craped myself till I got that battery disconnected. I think old paint is pissed.

Welcome to the fun and yes we would like to keep them all but sometimes that just doesn't work out.

Wanted to check in joined the forum about a week ago my name is Don. Bought my SGS on Fathers Day a month after I turned 63. Love the bike and the ride.

Welcome Frank and Don from Alberta Canada. Glad you guys joined. It's great to see more come on here. Lots of information.

Welcome from Nashville, TN Frank! We're glad to have you on board so enjoy and share your tips and tricks as they come along. We've tried to keep this forum "on track" and stay supportive and polite. I think that's why this site has grown to be as good as it has.

Thanks guys for your welcome. I've already gotten some good info from members.
Like I mentioned prior...I look to ride my SGS even with the weather starting to change.
I just need to get the rear suspension harshness worked out....any suggestions would be appreciated.

morrocogold- Check this adjustment chart out: I'm 175 lbs and have mine set 2 clicks up from zero. It feels sporty but not cushy like my previous Road King.
