Just purchased his and hers 2015 Street Glides. She traded in her 2013 Dyna Switch Back and regretfully traded in my 08 Heritage Softail Classic. Had made several modifications to her bike, adding Vance and Hines Monster Duals, tuner and Dyno'd along with adding touring lights and a few other chrome goodies. My '08 was modified with a Woods cam ( 525 lift ) Vance and Hines Long Shots and it sounded good. Now this brings me to my point. Looking for advice on replacing stock exhaust on our new bikes, does it need to be re mapped if head pipes are changed which I may do because heat from rear pipe is above and beyond. I was told this was due to the catalytic converter. Looking for the sound my long shots had. ( not sure if long shots are available for 2015 SG ) Also looking to upgrade speakers in bat wing, any suggestions on speakers? Any advice is welcomed

Phantom263- Welcome to SGF ! If you're just doing slip-ons . . . no. If you're doing headpipe too . . . . yes. Many here have opted for the Vance & Hines FP3 which will really "take the diapers" off your scoots. It also has an auto tune feature which allows you to rebuild/modify custom maps for your ECM as you make modifications. If you have the HD tuner, back it goe$$$ to them for tweaks when major changes are made/added. There are also other great non-Harley tuners out there as well. A company named Fuel Moto is famous for performance packages for both bikes. Search our threads and ask questions here on SGF. You'll find there are no stupid questions, we'll all be happy to help where we can!

Welcome from Reno, NV

If you just change slip ons.... no need to remap.

Once you swap out the head pipe and/or AC... a tuner/ remap is required to adjust air/fuel accordingly

Thanks Spazz,,,,will be getting slips-ons first then I will look into FP3 that was also suggested

Liking the "take your diapers" off comment,,,,gonna go with slip-ons then perhaps FP3 Appreciate the info.

thanks....yea,,,the bike is cheap compared to the bolt-on stuff....someone said the bike is just a down payment on parts!

Good Rule of Thumb, You can change the Air, you can change the exhaust, but you can't change both without air/fuel manager -

FYI... if you are looking into the FP3, I have posted a detailed thread on the autotune process and if you have any questions... just ask
