The wife had been looking for a new bike to replace her '06 Vulcan Mean Streak. told her to go look at the Street Glides. We left the dealer with a 2014 Street Glide Special. Morocco Gold Pearl. ( white with gold metal flake ). I told her that she bought a stereo with a motorcycle attached. The infotainment system is great! So far, I have installed the driver's backrest, four point docking, passenger sissy bar-no backrest, highway mounts off of the Mean Streak, crash bar mounted driving lights (off of my 2013 Road Glide Custom. I had added HID headlights to it and the driving lights were too yellow). Next thing that I got to do is replace the handlebars and lower the seat. She is a little short. Don't tell her that I said that.
I had just finished the stage 4 PRO Screaming Eagle kit install. took it back to the dealer two weeks ago for dyno and was very happy. Stock de-catted head pipe with R.C. slip-ons. Just over 114 HP and 116 foot pounds of torque.IMG_20130414_211734.jpg20140308_190606.jpg

Very nice. Took my wife to the dealership yesterday when I picked up my clamps and pegs for my sled. Caught her looking at some Dynas. Maybe just maybe there will be two in the garage.

Four years in the USAF. 462, bomb loader on F-4 C and D. Caught the end of the Vietnam War. Spent a year in Thailand. 250s and 500 lbs, napalm, all kinds of stuff.

Still in. I was a 461. Now a 605 or 2T2 Air Trans. Started in 87 as Ammo went in the reserves after the first gulf war. Became an MTI and re entered active duty in 06. Rolled a ton of 500 lbs in my day. Nice to see another wingman.

Karens Ride...I flew F4C/D's at Torrejon AB 1977 to 1980. Missed Vietnam. Thanks for your service.

Just read this while looking for handlebar info. Loved working on the Phantom, even though it wound up costing me a full knee replacement 37 years later (done through the VA). I am now up to 40% disability, but it doesn't stop me from riding!

I see that you have 12" bars. Did you have to change any lines, cables? I had put 10" Yaffe bars on my '13 Roadglide and did not have to change anything else. My stealer is telling me that I will need to change brake line, clutch line extend throttle wiring, ect.
