Hi all, I'm new here and I need good advice.

I was just getting ready to pull the trigger on a set of Ohlins rear shocks

Was talking to the parts guy a my local HD dealer and he said harley is now offering the same exact type shock as the Ohlins

The price from Harley for the new emulsion shocks are $599

The Ohlins I want are $625 plus shipping https://mechanicfaq.com/shocks-for-harley-touring/

Does anybody know if Ohlins are making the new Harley shocks for Harley?

They look identical...

They are available for my 2008 XL1200C through HD

Im confused if I should go with the Ohlins or the new Harley emulsion shocks

Thanks for any info

I put the Ohlins on the rear of my bike last year and really happy with the change. Going to do the front end this winter and I'm sure it will ride like a totally different bike.

Ohlins will be the best shock you can get no shock can compare

Nitrons, and cheaper than Ohlins. You pays your money and makes yer choice...

Same some $$ and look at Suspension Technologies. Great products and even better pricing.

Just ordered a pair from Suspension Technologies, they have a discount going on right now and could not pass it up especially with all the good reviews I read, been on the fence now for almost a month on which shock to get for my 19 Street Glide Special, thanks y22c for pointing them out.

Hawg Runner, you are welcome. The people who work there are great. You can even talk to the guy who designed the components if you need to.
