Outdoor Speakers?

First post here, great information here! I have a quick and easy one (I think). I notice many people going with after market fairing speakers are not necessarily getting outdoor or marine style speakers. In fact, I see some putting $700 indoor speakers in their fairings.

Simple question, any issues or concerns? How careful must you be?

Welcome to the fun. Running Focal's in the fairing and haven't had any issues yet.

Just don't soak them with a hose.... several of us run Focals ... some run Arc and some Hertz... all great quality..but do your research and buy once... don't settle

I don't think Focals are "marine grade", but rumor has it that at their Sema booth they have their speakers playing submerged in a bucket of water. I'll probably be buying Focals myself in the near future.
