Paul Yaffe Monkey Bars

Just an FYI, I just put 12" monkey bars on my 2014 flhx and while pulling and soldering extent ions for the wiring was a bitch, I did not have to replace hydraulic clutch and brake cables.

I am seriously looking at these bars for the future... you have any pics you can share? How is the obstruction with the fairing mounted mirrors?

Glad to hear a reroute on cables was only needed along with wire extentions.... any tips/tricks for reroutes would help.. especially on the hyd clutch...

I would highly appreciate some good pics from all aspects before dropping coin on these... thanks!

I'll second Magnumshield...awesome product and price. I have updated 2 HDs with Apes and used Magnumshield for cables/lines.

Same, Same...used Magnumshield on both my '03 Roadking & "10 Roadglide. Awesome products.

I never thought I would want apes but road a buddy's street glide today with 10" Naffes and it was very comfortable. I found myself sitting a lot more straight than on my 14 SGS as stock.

Do these 10" bars require the extended cables and wiring? I like the height of the 10's and if it would be a easier instal them I'm going for it.

Hey Kosi! I just put 12" PYO MBB on my '14 SGS and it's the best thing I ever did. Anything 12" and below can still use stock. If you go with 10" you'll bee good to go and still just behind the batwing.

Good luck and don't forget to post up pics when you get them on. Cheers!

So all you need to order is the bars? No wiring extensions or anything?

I am looking to put 12.5 Wild 1 Chubbys on my 2014 street glide. I am wondering what all i need besides wire extensions. Some say you can get away with out doing a clutch line for the hyd. clutch and brake and others say you cant. any info and advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Eric

From what I understand 10" nothing needed , 12" - you need 8" wire extensions

I'm sure most people will disagree, but if I ever decide to change handle bars, I will get a new throttle control unit and pre-wire the bars before I ever remove the old ones. The part is called a Twist Grip Sensor, P/N 32310-08, It comes with all wiring and plugs. Done this way you know how much if any you will have to extend the wires.

Charcoal Pearl 2014 Street Glide Special
Custom Dynamics red LED's and Dynamic Rings with smoked lenses.
Vance & Hines Monster Ovals. HD Heavy Elite air cleaner.
Precision Billet Darkside floorboards, Derby and Points covers.
Kuryakyn curved license plate holder, Transformer grips.
HD Fork mounted Wind Deflectors. 10" HD Windsplitter windshield.
4 point docking hardware.

I just put vindikta 12's on my 09 SG all I had to change out was the cables. The wires were long enough. But the twist sensor is a gos idea or you can just cut out the connector and solder the wires. For cables check out hill country custom cycles on ebay. By far the cheapest called around.

Paul Yaffe Monkey Bars

Just put Paul Yaffes 8"monkey bars on my 2015 CVO Street Glide love them . Not sure I like the Yaffe mirrors way too small. Going to return them but super satisfied with Bars!

I agree. I had to go back when I started getting tbw codes .and remove the Connector in the bars. Also had to remove the connector in the fairing. No more codes and stumbling bike.

My dealer quoted me $1250 installed. I think I will be giving it a try with the step by step pictures from the other thread.

WildBill, It's not all that hard just time consuming, no special tools needed, just roughly 6 hours and you could easily do them. TBW is plenty long enough up to 16" bars all I needed was a NAMZ 10" extension and put some 13s on my 14sg.
