The other day I moved my bike from its winter resting spot and took it for a ride. I left 1 fob in saddle bag over the winter and when I turned ignition on it started flashing for pin Number. I went in he house got other fob and pin number went a way. Few days later and every time I turn ignition on now it wants a pin number. Could both fobs be dead?

That's the issue. When was the last battery change?

Original batteries. I was just doing some online research and it sounds like guys are replacing them annually. Guess I'm about 3yrs over due 😀

I keep a spare battery pack in my saddle bag. If I am not riding for a long time,
I open up the FOB and disconnect the battery so I do not run it down from not riding.

A couple of new batteries and you're good to go. Easy fixes are great!!!

Wow, this happened to me this past weekend, I was doing my own 3 hole oil change for the first time and went to turn my bike on and got the same thing. Freaked me out, like what did I do? LOL
I turned the key to the left and back and hasn't happened yet, but I'm changing the batteries tomorrow now! Thanks guys!

Mine does it every once in awhile....just when I think the battery is going....and I haven't changed it in over three years...it starts working again. Who knows.....I just remember the PIN just in case.

Is the pin something I can set? If so, how do I do that?

I replace them annually when I replace the smoke detector batteries. Buy them in the dollar store (brand name) 2 for $1. How can you go wrong, I have never had a dead FOB issue. For you guys that lay your bikes up for the winter, replace them every April 1st.

FYI, anybody wanting to buy extra batteries, the battery number is 2032. I just pulled one out of my 2016 Street Glide fob to make sure. They have great quality Lithium replacement 2032's on Amazon. Got 5 of them for around 4 bucks. Free shipping, no tax.

Panasonic CR2032 Lithium 3 Volt Battery (5 pieces) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00K62Y2O2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_taa_q2TUyb6VN54PV

MisterB- I took your Amazon advice on the batteries-great value! Also I i use my DOB as my security code, that way I never forget it.
