Let me start off by saying the speaker boxes are a pain in the ass to get at the 3 bottom bolts! Now with that said I'll continue...
The Install:
Installation was rather easy but there were some issues. After mounting the PP and speakers you have to split the grommet to get both sets of wires out the same hole. Connections were plug & play and I didn't order the Dual Power Harness Adapter for 2014 Harley Models that makes the power connection plug & play. I used the power port as a power source. Now to tune the speakers was the next problem seeing there not accessible once installed in the speaker boxes. So you have to tune without being able to sit on the bike and listen. I need to re-tune mine but need to get the DSP (off) flash from the dealer or purchase the Magic Box. That is it.
The Sound:
I say I have close to double the volume than stock. There is some distortion at the top of the volume but this is probable the DSP not being off. Speakers sound very good and I'm very happy. Yes there are better speakers but cost more and the same goes for amps. All I wanted is to here music at 50-80 mph and stock sucked there. I have hearing loss in both ears so quality is hard for me to pick up.
The Verdict:
Well worth the $$$ for what you get. Few hours to install and tune maybe more with the 3 lower bolts being a real pain to get too.
Side Note:
I had a J&M hidden antenna installed work ok not as good as stock but there is some sort of interference from the amps. After doing some searching and reading seems to be a common problem with all fairing hidden antennas. So went to the dealer and got the shorty antenna.
If you have questions give Ed or Bill a call and the will answer anything you throw at them lol good guys!
I can tell the difference between 192 & 320 MP3's 320's sound frigging awesome and Spotify thur Bluetooth...
