Looking for advise on a rack for my 14 street glide. Leaning towards a HD stealth with 4 point docking but it states 10 LB max weight.

I think they all say 10lb max.... I don't put a 50lb luggage bag on it but i know i exceed 10lbs almost every time!

I normally use the HD day pack from the Touring Luggage System on the stealth rack and at most it probably has 10-15lbs, but no more and works great as I had the large touring bag that would go over the sissy bar and passenger seat. I have completed 2-1500m trips in this configuration of both bags and worked great.

My Airstream luggage rack also says 10 lbs max. I have several MC luggage pieces to choose from depending on the trip length.

They will hold.more than 10 lbs... I have an HD rack... this saddleman luggage is packed!

I did a lot of looking and shopping when I bought the luggage rack for my 14 SGS. I already had the 4 point HD docking system installed and had a sissy bar installed. Due to the price of the HD rack I elected to buy one off ebay for $125 dollars instead. The order arrived quickly, it fits perfectly, and has worked well for me. I have been on several multi night trips and have used it extensively. It works well. It will carry a 30 pack of Bud Lite cans very well too! Good luck on your choices. (The antenna clears the rack also).

GAFLHXS- That's the Airstream, same as mine. Works well but hard to attach a flag to.

Whewwww! I never even thought about the weight limit. I have a very large saddleman bag similar to Spazz and I think the last time I packed it weighed about 30lbs+. Have taken a couple trips now and no sign of stress on the rack.

Irrr1429- You'll be OK, If you look at the quick disconnect rack for the Tour Pak, it's pretty much the same frame and you know it weighs heavier once loaded. Ive carried 40-50lbs on mine many times with no problem.

I'd be more worried about the pitiful, poor, puny hardware HD uses to attach the hard bags!

I can tell you it will support 230 pounds because I have stood on mine without any ill effects. Just don't ask why lol

They will tote WAY MORE than they say! Lol I put a 100lb box with some steel plates on my rack and hauled it about 62 mi and some of it was rough road and no issues. I use mine religiously. Its way more fun to ride the bike than to drive the cage!!
