I am installing 14" Yaffe bars on my 2012 street glide. The install is going fine, but I am at the point of replacing the bushings and I've hit a road block. Are there any videos or threads that show how to replace the riser bushings? Thanks!

Simple...tap the old ones out and tap the new ones in. at least that's what I did.
and yes.. there is a video on this. check out rideritwrenchit.

Thanks for your response 901glide. I took a look but didn't see anything about bushing replacement. It looks like the riser are threaded on with the bushings underneath. Do the risers unscrew to remove? They seem in good shape and are not loose. I'm thinking about skipping this all together.

theres a bolt that goes through the bushing then through your tree into the bottom of your riser. if your going with 14in. yaffees you really need the urethane bushing instead of the stock rubber one, if not your going to have a lot of play with the rubber one. you need the outer fairing off, and at least loosen up your inner fairing so you can get a socket to remove the bolts ,then a torque wrench and red loctite to reinstallriser.jpgriser bolt.jpg

The problem I have is that I don't have great access to the bolt underneath, especially with a torque wrench. I see the bolt coming up through the riser. Do the risers spin off of this bolt. If so, once off, how do you put them back on at the right torque. A video showing this would be great. Thanks for your input Steve b.

JMeadows, perfect, thank you. I'll head to my dealer tomorrow and pick up some polyurethane bushings. Thanks to everyone's responses.
