Purchased a PBR300X2 from Amazon for 132.00 and a pair of Hogtunes 352F-AA off Ebay for 67.00. I am not a huge audiophile. I just wanted a fuller sound and bang for my buck on my 2009 SG. My question is I know I run power and ground to battery. Am I to assume I just splice into the positive and negative wires going into speaker with the amp? Also do you think im going to blow these with this amp?

The only concern to me is the Pbr300 is rated at 150w rms and the speakers 100w rms so if you ran them full power for long they could be damaged. I don't think I've turned my Stereo above 75% since installing my Pbr300 and Polk 651 speakers though. And even that was quite brief.

I ain't an audiophile either and this is the first time I've dealt with an add-on Amp but I assume the peak rms output is also at max gain. You should be able to adjust the gain to match the power rating of the speakers without worry.

I anticipate I will need to lower the gain a little (@5) and doubt I will ever go loud enough to damage them. I broke down and paid 100 bucks for the RF install kit which says its all plug and play and no cutting or splicing. I am not technical enough to check it with a multimeter so Im going to turn the bass treble ect.. all down to neutral settings and turn head unit up to full power to adjust my gain.

Today I installed my RF PBR 300x2 along with a set of RF T1675 speakers.

The speakers were a real pain because of the way the tweeters were placed on the speaker chassis, but a bit of Dremelling took care of that.

I also bought the RF installation kit, but it was not suitable for the 2015 Rushmore series so it went back.

Sounds great in the garage, but going out tomorrow to give it the real test.

Thanks so much to Spazz for his install video.

So we had nearly 420 Km ride yesterday with the best sounding bike I've heard (that's mine).

If I were to go again I would wait for the FOCAL or INFINITY not particularly because of the sound, but for ease of install.

Thanks again to Spazz for his excellent install video and YES those last two bolts holding the pods in place were a "bugger". :(

You should find it in the sound system threads in the form.

Thanks for the link! I guess I'll go a different route. I'd rather not cut up the pods that much. I'd rather see if I can find speakers that will fit in the stock locations without having to modify anything.

Just about anything that's worth installing will require a little modification to the pods. The RF speakers required very little modification and the stock grills still work fine.

Hey road warrior in your signature it says you have the hogtunes amp and speakers. Do you still have them installed? How do you like them? Any issues?
