Rockford makes a bluetooth DSP tuber that fits under the fairing really well. The DSR-1. You install it, download the app and Bluetooth your phone to it so you can tune each channel independently. I run one on mine with 3 RF Amos and 8 speakers. Easy to tune and program. No computer needed. No removing the fairing.

I have the HD14-TKIT with 4 TMS65 speakers for upper and lowers. I am only using 2 channels and you are right. It's too loud. Felt like it bust my ear drums. Anything more than 70% and you're begging for loss of hearing. But it is very crisp and clear.
