Anyone have these speaker lids on a 2014+ yet? Bad Dad Speaker Lids

Ever since Spazz put some on I've been looking at speaker lids, I like the integrated lights on these, they take HD grills as well so getting a replacement will be easy if necessary. A bit on the expensive side, but best looking ones I've seen so far. I'm especially interested in seeing how they are wired (lights).

Scott14SG- You're right on both counts: Good looking and expensive (in the Harley tradition of course!)

They are a sexy lid for sure.... but dang!!!! and that is a BEFORE paint price....

No doubt about it, in HD fashion they are pricey. Unfortunately I can't un-see them and like the integrated light and how the speaker mounts in them. The speakers would take up less room inside the bags compared to these from Cycle Sounds that uses a cone shaped mount with the speaker below. I think they would look really sharp with extended bags/fender from True Kustom that also have a flush mounted LED light.

I agree... they are a great lookin lid

I can visualize that Scott14SG, hey, if you want it-go for it they will definitely be unique!! I spent a whole lot more than that for a guitar recently (but don't tell my wife!).

Your secret is safe with me Mojo.

Also looking at the Hogtune lids, the water drain feature is nice on those as well as being a nice looking lid.

Well, talked to Bad Dad today, good bunch and quite helpful, even found me a painter. Looks like I'm going to order up a set the end of the month, what the heck it's only money.

It's all your fault Spazz ;)

Slick lids.... I just installed the HD because I wanted to be sure the paint matched on the Morocco gold. Then took a 3" hole saw to them. Talking about butt pucker

Talked to Pete with Soundz last night and there is new lids in the works for the '14 plus bike. From what he was tell me I'm going to have an expensive winter project upgrading.

Not sure how much I can tell, but he's working on double 6.5 lids and double din radio set up. He's also working on doing separates all the way around. I see double KRC's in the future for me along with a new radio.

Those are the same ones in the first post of thus thread, but they were only $775.
Yup... looks like the ones Bryan posted come with speakers since they list 2 ohm impedance

Nice looking lids, although I'm not a fan of the round style they are still nicely done without being overdone. I've seen double speaker lids as well, too much for my liking.

I ended up ordering the Bad Dad lids with the lights, they said about 2 week wait time. Then off to paint, seems it's hard to find someone to spray the Daytona Blue. I was looking at putting HAT 5x7's in until I saw these 6x9's from Biketronics

I run the 157-2's.... about the best bass you can get from any other 5x7 I have heard... and waterproof....
