This is supposedly a new tuner. The only one Harley currently sells since paying the fine to the EPA. I don't know how much it is similar to the HD tuners that came before it.

I've got a 2017 Street Glide 107" M8. I put a heavy breather on it, stock exhaust. No other changes from stock. It had some minor decel popping from the pipes, otherwise ran great.

I bought a Screamin' Eagle Pro Street Tuner Part Number 41000008C yesterday and used it to download Harley's stage one map for the bike. I took it for a five mile ride. The decel popping is gone.

My question for anyone who has used this brand new tuner, or one of the other recent HD tuners, is how do you know if the new map is in the ECM? When we downloaded the new map each step to install it was followed closely and it appeared to install in the ECM correctly, and as I said the decel popping went away. But I'd like to confirm the download through the computer if possible.

You can reconnect the tuner and read the map from the bike to be sure you have the tune you want installed.

Keep in mind that the ECM is adapting your new tune to your bike for the first hundred miles or so.

Thanks for the feedback. When you say "Keep in mind that the ECM is adapting your new tune to your bike for the first hundred miles or so." are talking about using the tuner in the Smart Tune Live mode? Or are you saying that every bike will change or adapt the loaded map automatically?

Also I looked around at the data in the tune and wasn't able to find the area that would let me change the throttle progressivity settings. Do you know where this data is at?

Yes, I'm saying that every bike will change or adapt the loaded map automatically.

It's called throttle progressivity in the tables selections. If you don't see it they probably took it out for '17. I do not recommend changing it, the factory setting is as good as it gets. More sensitive is just a pain in the ass. Just twist the throttle grip as needed.

hi i just got the pro street tuner and i got the intake and the street cannons . it does keep the throttle progressivity unless you uncheck the box when you are loading the new map . it will ask you if you want to keep it then it says most people leave it on .

I'm thinking about getting one of these tuners along with the SE air intake.
Did you notice any difference in performance?
thank you.
Mario

hi Mario with out the tuner it does bog down when you give it full throttle . they recommend you do the dyno tune but if you are going to make more changes to your bike i would just do the auto tune . the auto tune is what i did because i want to do the stage 3 in a few months and dont want to pay for a dyno tune then pay again
