Anyone else experiencing minor paint wear at points where stock seat comes into contact with tank and upper portions of both left and right side panels? SG is a 2015. :(

Yep! Bought a Corbin solo seat late last year (haven't even used it yet!) and when fitting it on bike noticed paint wear on tank and on rear fender from the stock seat. Not real happy about it, especially the rear fender because it will show with solo seat, but not much I can do about it now. I'm probably going to wet sand and compound those areas in the spring.

Contemplating maybe sticking 3M felt pads like the kind used under furniture legs , to lessen further damage. but not sure if that would only add to more rubbing?

Seems the 17 CVO I bought already had some clear Seems at contact points.

Nice that they think enough to protect the CVO's!! Ha!! My B.I.L.'s new Heritage has clear film on the rear fender from factory. I'm going to order some 3M film to protect rear fender for when I use passenger pillion.

Wow, I thought I was the only one that suffered from that. I'm just going to soldier thru it now as my bike is 2011 model

Before I went to a Mustang seat, which has rubber bumper pads at the frame contact points, my stock Street Glide seat as well as the HD Tallboy seat both left rub marks on the frame. I used a piece of Self adhesive Velcro (soft side) and stuck it TO THE FRAME so the rubbing was on the seat. Also stuck a couple of pieces on the rear fender. It can easily be peeled away and any remaining glue can be removed with Goo-b-gone or such. The furniture pad idea might work well also

BluesBelly,

I like the Velcro idea, didn't cross my mind to stick something to the tank/ fender/ frame. I guess that might work better assuming it is easily removable. Mean City Cycles has my seat now for Super Narrow & Wide Single passenger mods so I'll wait till they ship back incase front pan mod changes rub points. Mean while, trip to Home Depot is in order!
