slip on muffler help

One thing I've noticed over the years is people with really loud pipes tend to accelerate slowly when riding. I believe they use the throttle more like a volume control and just twist up a certain noise level. I know when I've tried pipes that were too loud for me, I would definitely use less throttle to avoid attracting too much attention - especially from police. Hmmm......maybe loud pipes are safer if they encourage less generous use of the throttle.

You are right, my last bike had pretty loud pipes and when i would go by the fuzz i would let off the throttle and coast past them and pulling from a stop sign or light i would take off slow in order to not be a nuisance.
