Solve the dead space problem!

I put mine on the left side of the console on the tank just near the seat. Used the OEM Harley bracket. Looks nice to my liking

Skeeter, Ukes HD in Kenosha Wis. mounts them in the dead space on the inner fairing. Maybe call them and ask exactly what parts they use? I may or may not call as I have heard the wireless set-up is coming.

I have the CVO wiring harness and weather cap on the way, but I may just call them anyway about the installation. If a wireless headset set-up is coming anytime soon, I wouldn't even mess with a wired hookup. Thanks for the info.

Skeeter, after my "near miss" trying to get all the correct parts - I decided against it totally and went with Blue Tooth to my smart phone and smart phone via USB to the Boom Box. Works very well for me!

So are you using a Blue Tooth helmet headset and if so, what brand? I prefer wearing a full face on long trips and like listening to music. It's hard hearing tunes with a full face without the shield up. Not wanting to talk on the phone, but nice knowing if someone has called.

I'm guessing the CVO inner fairing is molded something like the right side power supply area for the com plug. I pulled the outer fairing and there's lots of room around the area where the com plug would go. Both pieces of the com setup are keyed to prevent circular rotation. I'm thinking a couple very small notches 90 deg apart will keep it from rotating.

Another option I'm looking at a mid frame air deflector install instead of the tank. Lots of room for Communications Kit-69200865 and it should be long enough.

I have several wired headset and figured I should try and get some use out of them.

Skeeter- I pair the LG 750 BT ear buds to my iPhone then it doesn't matter too much what type of helmet you choose.
