Sony DSX MS60 USB problems

I just recently purchased a 2006 street glide and it already had the radio replaced with a Sony DSX MS60 radio, it has the harness because the handle bar controls do work. With the bike running it will not even let me select the USB mode, just tuner and Aux Front. With the bike not running I can select the USB mode but it doesn't play any music. Does anyone have any suggestions of what the problem could be?
