I had the level 4 with 6x9 lids installed by a local shop that was recommended by Peter. I love the volume and clarity, but after hearing the boom 2 in a new SE street glide this weekend I realized mine doesn't compare in the bass category. Just wondering if maybe something is just off on mine based on others experience. It was flashed by the local shop supposedly by Peters recommendation.

Probably not- focals are not known for bass- nor are many other speakers. I played around with the display in Peter's shop- the lower end focals (like level 2) had more low end sound (bass), but did not have as munch overall clarity and depth. Other brand speakers may offer a deeper sound. Again- Harley Davidson Bagger stereo on Facebook is an informative source.
If you really want bass- you need a set up with a sub.
