So I'm thinking to pull the trigger on the four speaker set up from soundzcustomz level four. I checked in the harley catalog and saw I can purchase the speaker lids from harley and just use my current hardware on it. Im going this route because I'm not using the boom upgrade, I'm going straight to soundzcustomz...my question is, does anyone know the part numbers for the grilles that fit the speaker lids? Thanks in advance and any advice to go along with my thoughts is also much appreciated.

I thought i saw it on the forum last week but can't recall who or what post it was in

Well now aren't you in luck. I just ordered lids and grilles. Looking at going with J&M if we can get on the same page pricewise. Here you go:
76000417 & 418. I paid 280ea for Harley Painted lids and 25 for the grille kits @ surdyke.com

Tell me about the soundzcustomz?

Don't forget the hi-lo screws and grille bushings.... everything is sold separate.

Parts guys get lazy... if they look up the parts breakdown of the boom upgrade kit, the part numbers for both sets of screws and grille bushings are there....and the bushings are NOT the same as 13's and older... they won't work.

designflaw, thanks a million for that quick response. I was losing my mind looking for the part numbers for them lol I purchased the primed saddle bag lids from kutter hd for $149 each and will have my painter paint them. I just had him paint my matazu bag extensions and I was very pleased for the price and quality so I'll continue giving him business.

I'm glad you asked about soundzcustomz because the biggest spokesman for them just commented under your post haha I was very interested in the J&M speakers myself until I heard the quality of Spazz's system. Also I called soundzcustomz and the service and quality of knowledge they gave me was the reason I pulled the trigger on them. I've heard mixed reviews from J&M and I don't want to risk anything, especially after dropping that much money. You should hear Spazz's system, it may end up frustrating you as much as it did me because I was one day away from pulling the trigger on J&M but then I heard this system and changed my mind.

Hey Spazz, do you by chance know the part numbers for the sets of screws and bushings? I hate talking to HD parts guys, never get the same answer twice and usually both answers are wrong. I'm glad you told me there were screws and bushings separate because I had no clue.

For anyone else who is interested....The cheapest price I have seen for the grille is surdyke.com and the cheapest I have seen for the speaker lids is kutterharleydavidson.com .... think it's 25 for the grilles on surdyke and the lids are 150 unpainted from kutter....

pbadasay- before you hit the order button try Manchester HD, I just bought a set of painted lowers and they beat everyones price even with shipping cost....and they will arrive tomorrow, Woohoo! ;)

I can get them... I'll call my guy and he can pull my records.... gimme a few hours... still at work... working hard... can ya tell? Lol

Thanks Scott, I will call them tomorrow and see, it doesn't look like they have an online catalog...anyone in specific I should deal with or ask, like to continue business with people who deserve it! Thanks for the heads up though, much appreciated

Haha spazz, don't pull a muscle working too hard. I appreciate you getting me the part numbers. I'm excited about getting it together...did you hook up the complete system yourself or did you have someone do it?

Crap... I didn't get a chance to call them...sorry..and I have a 3 day trip starting tomorrow.

I installed the system.... all plug and play... I have a thread with all the info and videos in the audio forum.... look for it. Took about 7 hours for everything

Well I went for the J&M Xtreme 500 watt 4 speaker set up. John was very helpful and gave me a good discount. 20 year warranty doesn't hurt either. Now to find Spaz's installation post which should be similar and I printed out the Harley PDF - So now I will just get a beer and wait till the get here tomorrow I hope.

GOOD GOD, I JUST GOT RAPED BY HARLEY...... well again anyway -

for the 16 speaker screws and 8 little rubber donut washers would you care to take a guess. I'll give you 3 clues to help:

1. Its Harley
2. You have to buy them individually
3. I get a 10% discount

I should of bailed on buying them but he failed to tell me they don't have them in stock and I thought I was getting them "right now"

I was hoping you would go last damn it. That to me is clear and utter rape. there's not 3 bucks worth of hardware store screws there and if I had them in hand I would match them up and sell kits to keep everyone else from getting ripped off.

And for the record, I paid $44 and some change -

Our Dealership gives a 10% discount for HOG, so when I bitched about the cost he gave me the 10% off so that the only difference.

Its crazy to be pissed about 50 bucks when you spent 2000.00 but still its the point I guess.
