Anyone cut there own lids to install 6x9’s, I know Rockford fosgate sells a kit with speakers for around 500 bucks but I got speakers and would like to just find a good kit

I just finished cutting mine to install the Rockford kit. I thought to begin with was pricey but in the end worth every penny. I have hertz up front and the rockfords in the back and just finished the J&M Rokker install. Couldn't be happier!

I went to Ebay and mad an offer on a kit got it for $400 then the shipping got messed up and they knocked another $50 so $350 for the $500 kit.

I have the CVO Boom lids. The Rockford kit wasn’t out before I modified mine to except 6x9” I love the results, but wish I had the option at the time.

Soundz has lid kits.... I sell them as well thru my shop ( authorized dealer for Soundz... Reno Bagger Audio ) comes with our Iron 69's and they rock and kick out serious bass response.

For the record.... if you NEED speaker lids... the price is very competitive when you do the math against a lid kit. This comes in very handy when you have custom paint... or a special color other than Vivid Black.... and you get 6x9's over 5x7's

How did you do wiring when adding lid boxes?
Did you get the signal from the other boxes or anywhere central?
Thx in adv

Wires run from under the seat (connector plug there) through the inside of the bag to the speaker.

Hey guys,
I'm trying to figure out how I can run my aftermarket Sony on my 2014 . Seems as though I have to retain the bikes signal radio input through the amp and have no rear speaker input to run lid speakers . I bought a Sony Xav-ax 5000. Have a Rockford Fosgate 400ad amp. Front faring and lower speakers . Now I want to add lid speakers but haven't any idea where the rear speaker inputs are . Can some of you you younger cats help an old man to get his crap together for the Illinois riding season ?

If that amp is 2 ohm stable... run your faring and lowers off the front two channels and new rear speakers off the 2 rear channels. You will need to retune the amp .. but as long as its 2 ohm stable, the 4 fronts can be ran in parallel off the front 2 channels
