I did a quick video to show the EXTERNAL mods completed on the speaker pods. The INTERNAL mods done were to flush the mount posts to the surface and clearance 2 to 3 supports in each pod for the speaker basket to sit flush to the surface... About 30 minutes tops to get them done.

Peter Jensen of www.soundzcustomz.com was forthcoming with all detailed information on the mods. DETAILED instructions came with the system in colored photos.

These speakers have a 10 hour break-in period and specific settings were given to do so.

I will tell you this... these speakers are incredible sounding! The Dynamics are awesome... clarity is pure.... and this is not even AFTER the break-in.

With settings of bass and treble flat and AVC turned off.. volume set to 2 bars below half way... they are louder and have more dynamics than my stock setup at 2 bars below max volume and bass and treble set at 3+

( Arc Audio 125.2BX amp is running them )

I can't wait to get my new system in a few days ( have bags speakers in my system)... it shipped Friday.... gonna be busy and I will be writing a full install/review on it.

Damn, you'll be setting off the Seismic alarms all over the west coast.

I hope so... LOL! After hearing TomA's bike after completion with his amp ( Arc 125.2 BX) I can't wait to hear mine the the Arc Audio XDI 600.4 !!!

Great video Todd, they do sound great, don't they.

Yes that break in thing is sure a pain but what ever it takes. You just want to crank it up and rock out ha ha ha. I can say right now my exhaust is a lot louder with the power duals and I could still hear it better then the stock. After looking at these new speakers and what we took out its easy to see why just about anything would sound better.

What's the break in procedure?

Sent from the mobile leash

10 hours of play at less than 1/2 volume... bass/treble no more than 2 bars above flat and Automatic Volume Control turned off. Variety of music is recommended...

I think it more for the amp then the speakers

I don't think I ever broke mine in, I just went for it.

Well I'm making changes in my life so when I spend that much money I will decide ha ha ha ha Sometimes you have to play by the rules given I guess.

Spazz, TomA - How long did the install take (don't count the dealer update)

Wow-I've never heard of having to break in speakers. I guess that's not an issue with the "cheapies"
I'm going to go with J&M, they are a sponsor here and they have answered all my questions in rapid succession.

The dealer flash took 10 minutes maybe and have you talked to Peter at Soundz yet ?? I'm thinking now that Spazz knows why he's doing maybe 4 or 5 hours going at it slow and careful. The most time consuming part is getting the pods off and then back on. We had a lot of distractions with people stopping by and visiting checking it out and the conversations about what we were doing and best way to do it. In other terms we screwed off a lot.

TomA- Its hard to be around Spazz and NOT screw off a lot. That's what make it so much fun. I wish I could import him to my house for some assist, Its shame you guys didn't do a full video to You Tube!
