I have a 2016 stock SGS. I have been putting the parts together to take it to a stage one then stage two and want some input please.
I currently have a stock decatted head pipe, RCX slip on's. I probably going to go with a SE high flow air cleaner (probably the ventilator). not sure what tuner yet.
None of these parts have been installed yet I plan on doing it myself then taking it to be tuned.
for the cams I thinking either the Andrews 57H or S&S mr103.
I have been reading and reading and find my self all over the place with using the decat head pipe , but I already have it and I didn't have to pay for it :). I have read so much on it about its really good similar numbers to V&H, then others its not so good. I just not really sure on using it or which cam to go with when I get ready to go to stage 2.

any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

If you're going to go into the motor, I would suggest going with a 107. You will be glad that you did in the long run. I love my 2015 SGS 107.

Thanks but not really what I am wanting to do, besides I already have some of the parts.

I gotcha. When I first bought my 2015, I immediately installed a Stage 1 kit (V&H Dresser Dual header with V&H Blackout Rounds mufflers, V&H FP3 tuner and SE Ventilator Elite air cleaner). I also added a 31T final drive pulley which helped make the bike feel a bit more peppy. I rode the bike in this configuration for 3300 miles and then went straight to a Stage 4 and a 30T final drive pulley and that's when the bike really came alive! The bike just did not have the power that I was looking for in the Stage 1 configuration.

I know we're talking two different motors here, but I do have some experience with a Stage 2 setup as well. My 2018 SGS has a Stage 2 kit with an S&S cam, S&S air cleaner, S&S Grand National slip on mufflers and Power Vision tuner (which came with a preloaded tune and unlimited map support from Fuel Moto). It runs good, but it's still no comparison to my TC Stage 4 107. Note: I did change the cam bearings in both bikes and recommend this for any bike that has a cam change done with mileage on it.
