Does anyone have a picture of the stator cable being routed through the inner primary housing? I want to make sure I have the grommet seared properly before buttoning it up. Thanks.

Ride safe.

I haven’t been able to find a clear picture in either the service manual, electrical diagnostic manual or any online information provided by the MOCO of exactly how that should look once it’s pulled through. Yours looks pretty good to me. Did you by chance install the high output model?

I installed the Cycle Electric kit CE-84T-14. It is an upgrade. I did not mean to do that but so be it. I just wanted a replacement for stock. The new placement for the rectifier/regulator is very nice and easy to install. It is also very clean looking as it is now above the oil cooler.

Were you able to resolve the issue with your regulator mounting? Does this upgrade require a larger oil cooler aswell

The only issue I would have had with the regulator mounting was if it was in the same place. I had busted off the right side mounting stud. The new regulator is mounted higher and uses the two threaded holes that are existing. Look for the two shiny socket head cap screws towards the top of the picture. The new regulator has a bracket.

As for the broken mounting stud below, I just knocked it out from the top. It is a press fit. Unfortunately I can’t find the bottom piece I knocked out! WTF?! If you look at the picture again, look for the right hand oil line. You can see the original left side regulator mounting stud still there. I decided to say eff it and just leave it.

The directions and customer support did not mention anything about upgrading anything else. And for the record, whoever I talked to when I called in was amazingly helpful.

Thanks for the feedback. I was thinking that was the case with the mounting bolt. Kind of sucks that the MOCO decided to use that type of bolt. They can strip the spline that holds them in then Im not sure what you would do.

The stealership has that bolt listed as part of the frame and therefore not available on its own. That is total BS. I read in other forums that people just knock them out and out and use a regular nut and bolt as it is a through hole.

Yes I agree , it’s a tuff place to get to.
