Stock Windshield Questions (not fitment)

Some basic questions about our Windshield. I had read that it was 4" but I measured about 5 1/2" today from the middle screw to the top of the shield. So I am assuming that if I get a basic 7" (Wind Splitter, LRS, Freedom, etc.) it is only going to be about an inch and a half taller than the stock. Also, what specific tool do I need for these screws? I also see these screw types all over the bike. It is not a Phillips. I heard it described as a "torque screwdriver" on a YouTube video. Thanks again for your patience.

3 x torx 27 acorss the wind screen to remove to swap out. I have 7" LRS and I am good with it. I am 5'11", I used to have 9" shield and it doesn't look as good and buffing is about the same with my LRS so I am happy with 7".
