This is my problem and what better place to try and solve it than Street Glide Forum with all the wisdom at hand. I purchased the first 2016 Street Glide that hit the show room floor. By the way this is my first Harley and I know what I have missed. This is my problem. I wear a full face helmet. With just ear plugs in and at road speed I can hear the radio fairly well. With the helmet and the visor down nothing. Appears to be a lot of helmet noise. I upgraded from the factory speakers to the stage 1 speakers. Way better without the helmet but as soon as the helmet goes on and the visor down the sound is reduced. I was having some ear trouble on a windy day and since started wearing ear plugs under the helmet. Did not change the sound loudness much but helped my ears. I like my music and for what a person pays for these machines you should be able to hear the music. Once again just on a short ride without the helmet but with earplugs sound is okay but when I make a road trip with the helmet and ear plugs might as well as turn it off and listen to the wind. I am hoping someone has a solution on this or some suggestions. As far as the helmet the research I have done shows they all have some wind noise at some point. Need some help and thanks in advance.
That is all

Get in-the-ear monitor speakers like musicians wear. Noise out, music in.

I just had a pair of custom ear plugs with acoustic filters (essentially hollow tubes in them) made by OKC EarPro. I don't wear a full face helmet, but the ear plugs do filter out most of the wind and still allow me to hear my music. They can build whatever you want from mild to wild. Here's a link.

Sounds to me like you need a better fitting windshield and some fork fairings. This cuts way down on the wind noise, to where you should be able to wear a half helmet and easily hear your music

I went thru all the same. When I figured it all out with all the upgrades, charging system up grade for big amp, real speakers, line levelers, every thing else you need about $ 2000 to hear it good with a full face helmet. So I bought 2 Sena 20 S headsets they have there own FM built right into them and sound great for $ 500. This was the best sound for the money for me.

An aftermarket taller windshield and some fairing mounted adjustable wind deflectors really help me cut down the wind noise and buffeting. I have a 7 inch tall ultra elite from long ride shields and Harley adjustable air deflectors. https://mstore.harley-davidson.com/...gclid=CLSXspO92dQCFUtNfgodW8wOfg&gclsrc=aw.ds

And this lower triple tree wind deflector helps out too.

Do you have a recommendation? I bought some that are called Eargasm which i would rate as fair on reducing the wind noise.
