Tour pack speaker pod ?

I bought a pair of HD speaker pods with my tour pack and discovered today that the Focal 165KRC 6.5" speakers will not fit (depth too shallow). I did a little research and discovered that there are a few aftermarket companies that make larger pods that will accommodate a 6.5" speaker with up to 3" mounting depth. My questions are: Who has crossed this bridge, which pods are you using and how is the fitment? Thanks
