Maybe I'm the 1st military/retired/vet on the forum, but did little over 20-years in US Air Force. Was Firefighter for 1st four & re-trained into COMM. Enjoyed my career & now 7-years into my 2nd career as Federal employee.

Thanks for your service, where are you living and give me some advice for when I retire.

I'm a USAF vet too, Electronic Warfare. I did 9 years, first gulf war era. Got out when they did the draw-down in 1993. I've worked in Information Technology since get out.

Ieman24, thank you for your service to our nation, glad to see you reached the finish line and are enjoying life, benmclendon, thank you for your service as well sir!

Add another vet, I guess. Retired MSgt, Comm for 20 years, now working for our brothers in green at Ft Knox. Being ex Air Force, I got the exemption that I don't need to low-crawl from the parking lot to my office. :)

Retired Air Force in 94. Pilot, F4 & A10. Flying for airlines past 18 years. Retire again in 2 years.

Welcome UUNetBill this is a great site and thank you for your service.

Benmclendon thank you for your service. This is a great site with lots of good information and advice.

Congrats to all you guys and thanks for your service.

I am another AF Retired -- 22 years in when I retired a couple years ago as a SMSgt. I spent 12 years in Explosive Ordnance Disposal and the remaining in Special Investigations. I crossed over to the Gov side and found myself deployed to Afghanistan a couple months ago. Looking forward to coming home in the fall to a new '14 SGS.

Kylemac,

Be safe, stay sharp and come home safely. The SGS is one sweet ride.

Good to see other AF Retiree's on the site. I have a good friend thats retired EOD, Willie Campbell.

Welcome Kylemac... My old man retired from the EOD community "Dennis Crawford". It is a small place. Enjoy being in Afghanistan. The fall will be right around the corner. Hopefully you don't live somewhere that the weather will prevent you from riding right away.

Thanks to everyone for their service! I retired from the USAF about a year and a half ago. Did 21 yrs as a Crew Chief on F-16's, A-10's, and F-117's. Do the same thing now as a contractor but getting paid a whole helluva lot more!!

Rolo, I flew C-141's and KC-10's...if you were ever up in Eielson, Alaska, I did a fighter drag to Japan with the A10's....what a long slow flight....21 years retired in '92, did a tour in Vietnam, then to Thailand in '72...flew for the airlines (TWA) until they got bought by American...hopped around since...

Nice to see military vets in this forum. I retired from the AF (SMSgt) in 2000 after 22 years on active duty. Been working for DHS since 9-11. Regardless of branch of service, thanks for your sacrifices. New to the HD world, been riding since '74 on Japanese dirt/street bikes and then about 5 Beemers. Bought a '14 SGS and love it. V/R Rick in HNL

Did you fly out of U-Tapao ?

Thanks to all that come before me!! Deployed right now, almost to 14 years total in the AF as a weapons loader on B-1s, F-15s, B-52s, A-10s, and now the F-16.
