Want more room and comfort. Handlebars or seat first?
I have a 2016 street glide. I feel to close to bars and footboards. Looking at a lepera daddy long legs seat which gives 2 inches more room and more comfort for passenger. Also, looking at Yaffee 10 inch monkey bars. If I get one I may not need the more room on the other. Should I do handle bars first or seat first?

seat. You may have to move the bars once you change seats anyway. Let us know what you think of that DDL seat, I've been looking for a couple months... just pulled the trigger on a Corbin, really hoping it was a good choice.

One thing you can look into also is letting Mean City Cycles redo your seat. They do outstanding work. And he can sit you back the couple inches you need.

I'm 6' with a 34" inseam. I put a lepera sorrento on my '14 SGS and 12" Yaffe bars. I did the bars first though. Just my preference I suppose, plus, wanted to be sure there wasn't any interference with my 8.5" Klock Werks windshield too. It was close, I have 1/2" clearance from the top of the bars to where the Klock works shield makes the bend.

With the 12" Yaffe's I'm in a good position and I like where my hands and arms are.

For the seat, I'm kind of disappointed in the comfort and position of the LePera. I'm still a little closer than I would like but the seat is not very comfortable. A couple hours riding and I need a butt break. I called LePera about making some adjustments but they told me it would not be possible. Any lower and there would be no padding left. Any further back and would lose something in the back (I don't recall exactly what now). I guess my recommendation for a LePera seat would be to find someone with the DDL you want and sit in it before spending that kind of money.

One more thing, I did buy a HD CVO rider seat. It does put me down and back in great position, however, it is very uncomfortable. It's great around town but not a long ride seat.

This is what I've read all over the net. Really disappointing because all I hear is the position is perfect, but sucks on long rides. Seems every other seat lifts the rider up. I really like being behind the wing and not over it on my CVO seat.

At this point praying the Corbin does the trick for me.

I see you have apes. Do you feel like too much room now to handle bars or just right? How do you like your seat?
Thank you.

Stock bars-changing to taller ones without cables.

Hi guys I'm new here. Looking to put higher bars on y 2016 SGS. My question is how tall can I go without changing the stock cables? I am looking between 12 and 14, anyone know for sure?

Seems everybody has gone to the 14 inch without have to change everything out but 16 and you change everything. You will need the 1 wiring extension then the others you just reroute.

Dont feel bad, I put 2200 miles in riding from MN to TX to MN on a Mustang Run-Around Solo Seat.
Yes, i did it to myself but, when i take my trip to the east or west coast this summer, that seat will NOT be on the bike hahaha.
