Wanting better speakers

Your right Spazz you put them inside the pods lol. Was just trying to point out they don't stick out at all like those new ones do.

If you didn't know it looks just like stock until you turn up the volume then back up just a little.

blkbrd- The Boom speakers are fine, they are a bit overpriced when you consider your options. I would suggest you to look around at your choices, listen to several other bikes and then decide. Different speakers won't make a whole lot of difference if you don't add an Amp as well.

Hey guys, just added the lower fairings w/pods (6.5") Does the 6.5 boom have capacity for adding 2 speakers without another amp? Or is that a waste of time. And what ohm spec would be required to parallel two speakers ? Also is there a signal output jack on the boom unit to run to a new amp ? Thanks for any help !

West coast go look through the sound system threads if you haven't already on the forum and read through a few of those lots of information.

Good luck and if you have more questions ask away.

Don't want to sound like a salesman but I would look up Soundz Customz and talk to Peter. Not sure what your budget is like but he should be able to help steer you in the right direction. J&M also has some good deals and they are a sponsor here. I would avoid some of the cheaper units out there because you will be replacing it sooner then later.

So if you have to wait to save I would go that route.

I will dig into the online boom manual and see if it has a wiring schematic . That should answer my questions. If not, i can head to the local sound shop here in Portland Oregon. Budget is $600 or so . Thanks .

Without flashing the head unit via Digital Tech at HD.. you have two channels active only for the front...

How any speakers do you want? Does $600 include the amp as well? That's not alot if so...
