What do you guys think of the NEW Indian?

It does have some nice features, like the electronic locking saddlebags and bluetooth, I would like to see on the street glide but still wouldn't trade my glide for one.

I'm enamored with the Vintage, old look modern tech and features. Many details standard that for Harley are in the HD Motor Parts and Accessories book. Hopefully this will make both brands better. I'd be happy to own one but not the first year. Looking forward to seeing one.

Yeah would be great if the new CVO has a 120 on it :)

I'm not feeling the bikes. I like the engine size bit styling is dead last of the American 3.

Looks good to me. Now that they are owned by Polaris, I wonder how the resell value will hold up... I had a Victory and the resell value sucked. But that was ok, I really wanted to try out another American bike. Victory has some nice features/technology that HD didn't have at the time and their styling is coming around to a more traditional look.

Look like nice bikes and I do really like the older Indians. They kept a lot of the styling and seem to have done a good job overall. Not sure I like the look of the hard fairing in the Chieftain. Also don't think I will be switching from a Harley but the Indians do look better to me than the Victory bikes. Competition is good so should push Harley MoCo a little.

Ok I love the Street Glide. The problem with Harley is The should put some of the good stuff on there bikes. For instance. The stock seat sucks. But Harley has a better one. For a price. Hey it should come with the bike. Along with other items.Harley just has the looks everyone loves including me. Now for the Indian. I rode all the new 2014s. The bike has great Power 111 cubic inches ( That 1 more cube than a Screemin Eagle.) The ride. Cant discribe how good it is. The bike does what it is susposed to do. And all for 25 Grand. Its a great motorcycle. Now and it's a BIG now. Would I buy one. No Indian has come and gone throu the years and has never survived. We just have to wait and see.If they hold on this time I'll be looking at them in about 5 years.Right now they have to prove they can run with the company that has been in the works since 1903. And still continues to to give America what they want. If any of you live in the Albany NY area. The demo rides are this weekend.Oct 11, 2013 CLIFTON PARK, NY Indian Motorcycle of Albany 1757 ROUTE 9. Go ride one I think you'll be impressed

I think they are cool lots of history maybe they got it right this time, The fairing looks out of place though. Must be hard to design a old looking fairing!!

I went on the demo ride last weekend. Here are my feelings, I own a 2014 SG with 2100 miles on it. The Indian FEELS lighter, it isn't but it feels lighter. It's smoother but you're disconnected from the bike. I like the feel of my bike better. The Indian is quicker off the line, but midrange feels about the same. I didn't have a chance to check the top end. It handles very well, and the styling is in the eye of the beholder. A big drawback for me is the signals are not self cancelling, why not? For now, I'll happily keep mine and see what the future may bring.

I traded in my Vic for a 14 SG. Vic Vision was a great bike. But Vic does nothing for its owners. No rides, no charity events, no BBQs, no communication. I owned 2 problem free Vic's. Back to HD and glad I did. Indian will be the same as Vic.

Just rode my buddies Indian yesterday and I for one will not be switching from HD. Seemed like a nice bike, looks ok, sounds decent, but the ride was not for me. It seems to caster more than any HD and the steering floats above 60mph. At around 65 it had a slight vibration in the front end. When I asked my buddy, he said he noticed it and rode in the dealer. They told him that it's normal condition and in there opinion, it has to much weight out to far over the front wheel.

Other than those issues, we all know 8-10 years from now they will be gone again anyway, so support and parts will be another issue again. He plans to ride it this season and swap it out for a 14 SG in the fall.
