I received my AXEO cartridges yesterday and would like to install this weekend. I called Legend today but they are closed until Monday.

I ordered the -1" for my 2016 SGS, Legend states they are shipped a zero preload but the adjusters look to me like they are already against the spring. (received this way). Not that I want 4 turns but if anyone was to go 4 full turns, the preloader nut would not be on the tube.

Is this normal? I am wanting to set it at 1 full turn but do you think this arrived at zero?

Thanks in advance
Jace

I have the -1's and love it. That doesn't look like it set to zero. To set to zero, back the preloader nut all the way out and then rotate the nut in until the set screw aligns with the flat spot.

That's what I was thinking but that is the way they were shipped. I contacted their support staff a few days ago after I ordered them concerned about running a 21" front wheel but was told it would be okay.

Thanks for the reply

I too received my Axeo's the same way. However, I contacted Legend support and they confirmed that was zero setting. Strange. Thanks for your input tho.

Same situation here; so did u end up backing that adjuster all the way back, and then rotating in one turn? If so, how does the forks feel? I am wanting to set it at one turn, so I'm curious.

Thanks,
Rich

Legend confirmed they were shipped at zero. I added 1 turn based on the chart and I am very pleased with the results.

Ok thanks for your input. Nice bike by the way! I too have a '16 SGS. Rice safe!

Thanks for the compliment. The ride is much improved over the stock internals, we have hit some massive holes in the road and have NOT made contact with the fender. Measured before the install and the bike is lowered 7/8", possibly has settled to the 1" mark by now. On grooved roads the front end is solid and I do not have to fight the wheel chasing the grooves, but you could feel it in the rear end.

however... I have since added the 12" Legend Revo-A's to the rear but the weather has only allowed a short ride around the neighborhood. It felt better on the initial ride so I have high hopes for the suspension to be in tune once dialed in. This pic is only the front Legend kit installed, not the rear at that time.
