Looking for ideas/help for replacing my 15 sg windshield. I am looking to replace my stock windshield. I tried a demo 7 in. Windsplitter but did not see any difference between the two shields. I am trying to cut down the wind i get so i am not so wind deaf by the end of the day. Thanks for any and all help from the forum.

I'm 6'3" with a 34" inseam and I find that I need at least a 9" windscreen if it has a "Recurve" (aftermarket only) or 10-11" without.......I like the recurve solution as it has me looking over the screen as opposed to through it.

I keep the shorter screen on for around town stuff though.......as it looks cooler :D

Any H-D dealer has a set of "test" windshields. Try different heights to see what you need. You want to be able to see over the windshield and see the road surface twenty to thirty feet in front of the bike.

I have tried an 8" Klockwerks and a 9" long ride shields. The LRS works much better for me. I'm about 6' 1" with a 32" inseam I'm looking over the top of the shield.

I personally ride with a Klock Werks FLARE and have been extremely happy with it. They do offer a "try it before you buy it" program so I'd encourage you to see if there is a local dealer in your area that has some demos you can try out. The following link will take you to their website where you can do a search for dealers in your area that offer demos.

Hopefully this helps and good luck with your search!!

That reminds me, last time I was at my dealer they had long ride shields in their demo inventory as well. I didn't see anything on the LRS website that listed the dealerships they work with though. Might be worth a call to see what the different dealerships in your area have for demos available.

Its great to see these demo programs out there. I'm fortunate enough to be a short ride from the J&P cycle warehouse and they are adding more and more demo items all the time. Looking forward to trying out a few different seats when the weather warms up here.
