Hi I am trying to find a plug inside the front fairing to connect an external GPS. There is 3 connections under the fairing. The trouble is which one to use so the GPS only comes on when you turn the ignition on. I have included two photo’s of the plug I think is the right one. I purchased an auxiliary plug for an external lighter for the saddle bag but it did not fit. There is kits on the Harley site but I don’t want to have it wired through a switch. Any help locating the right plug and what elelctrical cord to get would be greatly appreciated.
thanks

You need to locate connector 299. Looking at the bike it should be located near your GPS antenna. It has 2 wires, 1 black and the other violet with a blue tracer. It may have a plug cap installed in it.

Thanks. I will try to find that connection. Where did you find the connector for $11.95?

The middle picture is out of what book? Do they make a Hines book for streetglides?

The first two are from my h-d service manual. The other is a screen shot from H-D.com. I don't know if Haynes makes a repair manual for it, I just ordered manual from the dealership when I bought my bike.
