I'd like to think that any one can make a cam with today's technology. Not the case I'm sure.
I'm looking into using Woods cams. Anyone run these?
Thinking of either the 555 or 777.
Leaning towards the 777 as I might do Fuel Motos 107 kit at some point with their level B heads.

Look at the Fuel Moto web site. Tons of dyno runs posted with Woods cams.

I've been studying FM for some time. Just wondering if anyone has run them for awhile and what there experience has been. I haven't heard about Wood as much as S&S, Andrews, Knight Prowler, etc.....always like to have input from others before jump in.

I'm running the FM 107 kit with wood 777 cams in my 2015 SGS. My heads were done by Ward Performance though. I had heard beforehand that the 777 cams were noisy, but that's not been the case with mine. I do have Rocker Lockers too, so that could be why the motor is so quiet.

Thanks for the info. What did you end up with for numbers?

One of my Brothers just did the 555's on his 15 Limited low.... running Powerduals and V/H HO's with FP3.

Really woke it up for a full dresser. There was a bit of throttle hesitation when you blip it from idle that would NOT go away until we ran a few AT sessions and backed off the throttle progressivity settings down to stock for the AT sessions. Now she purrs like a LION!

Good choice for cams and not as lopey as I thought they would be... still sounds and runs really good.

Great to hear, Spazz. Thanks.
Think the 777s will be a little stout till I get head work done?

Well, I've decided on the 777 cams, roller lifters, adjustable push rods and a Power Vision tuner from Fuel Moto. Obviously, I will swap bearings with the Torrington's.
Gonna take of the Rinehart Extreme True duals and replace it with the D&D Boss Fatcat 2 into 1 with perforated wrapped baffle. Should be picking everything up next week and I may dig into it next Monday. Fuel Moto will load a map for me. Then next fall may do the 107 jugs and polished heads and have FM tune it on the dyno. The map that I think will be used now should be around 101/109.

Alright buckshot, you will have to let us know how this all works out and what power you end up at after doing this. I'm waiting to see for sure!!!

A **** pile of torque.
I love them. It pulls hard from 2.5k to 5.5k. The D&D Fatcat sounds angry. FMs tune seems spot on. I have not run any auto tunes since installing their tune. No hiccups really. I'd do it all over again. And, actually an easy job. Just take your time.

I'm actually looking at doing this myself. I'm glad I came across this thread. I might even do the 107 kit, I talked to Fuel Moto and they suggested I do the 107 over head work at this time. He said head work gives more HP , but it's torque we really need for a bagger.

I just had the 107 kit installed by FM in October with the Level B heads. 10.5 compression.
I ended up with 114 hp & 128 lb. ft. of torque.
It’s a friggin rocket and pulls hard all the way to 6k. I hit 110 lb.ft. at 2500 RPMs.
Runs smooth. Still pull out 39-43 mpg.

Do it. Fuel Moto rocks.
