Scheduled pit stop didn't quite work out this morning

427 miles, just shy of 10 hours, yesterday on almost all VA byways. Culpepper, Fredericksburg, Charlottesville, Appomatox, Staunton, Front Royal, and Gainesville. The neatest part, after being scared to death using ABS, was seeing the bear cubs cross the road and scamper up the mountain in the Shenandoah.

Tonight.....a lot of cleaning.

Nice Jaunt.. haha I know all the bout the Bears... I did 487 last Saturday over and the around the west coast Tampa/St Pete area then down to Ft. Meyers to Six Bends HD to pay tribute to Scootin Americas Warhorse. Awesome day and ride. Got stuck in son hella T storms on the way back. Did a bunch of overpass bonding with other bikers.

Had Helibars installed on my SG like the way they sit. Bars draw back allowing you to sit back relaxing my lower back(backrest next) sat on a Danny Gray suspension seat felt really nice just never got my bike over to them to ride around with it on.

Installed a Grasshopper Industries drivers backrest, very inexpensive, American made. It isn't adjustable other than getting it into position before tightening up the bolts. It does get the job done very well.

Nice ride around central Missouri for most of the afternoon. Lots of good roads around here. I had a great time on HWY A between Richland and Lake of the Ozarks. I'll probably head that way again in a few days in order to check out the MO state HOG Rally and the 2017 demos.

Took a ride to test a new seat mod. 335 miles, some rain and plenty of wet roads. Great day to be on 2 wheels. 100 in Phoenix, 64 in show low.

I admired the bike while updating the Boom software!

Drilled out the end plate of my Muffler today. Went with a 1" hole saw and it is still and quiet while cruising. Finally has a little thump at idle and makes that classic Harley sound on throttle roll off. Cat is still there, for now. I think it's time for a tuner.

Changed the oil, adjusted the belt tension and recharged my K&N filter. Just like with my wife, if I keep my bike happy, she keeps me happy.

Fp3 and K&n filter installed. Gotta play with it over the next 2 days, I leave Sunday for Colorado.
