I have useded hd gloss . and pledge on it but its still not quit there . looks real nice ans everyone loves it . but would like just a little more sheen on it I got it smoothed out and the black is real dark and rich now. I no they say don't wax but that's just to keep it flat . but I don't want that I want semi gloss any help would be great . thanks in advance

I'd be curious to see what that looks like, I was torn between Denim and Gloss, I went with Gloss because i heard about what a pain the denim was to take care of. I still thinks its a great look though.
When you get some time please post some pics.

From another thread: Hope this helps

We all know that if you take any polish to Denim paint it will turn it shiny. I took that to the extreme and completely changed the denim into vivid with a lot of elbow grease.

First I wet sanded the entire tank with the following grits 1500->2000->2500->3000->5000

I then used a polishing compound, then Megiuiars Scratch remover, then cleaner wax then tech wax.

Below are pics of the results. So, why the hell did I do it in the first place? I wasn't a fan of the "Wear like your favorite pair of jeans" that happens to denim. Now I can easily buff out any scratches or scuffs to the paint.

I'm probably insane and will be the only person with the desire to do this, but here ya go!

Only problem with that is there is no clear coat

Ya they do it's called an eggshell clearcoat, single stage. All denim/satin paint has a eggshell /satin clear coat finish.

There can't be much of a clear coat left after sanding it 5 times.

So true but , one would achieve what he is looking for and then just keep it waxed as much as you can. Back in the day it was raw paint no clear coat. Have to admit it looks good in the pics. ;) PLus his post was dated so , I might be commenting on a closed post... Hopefully he got it worked out. And if so would love to see pics of his results.
