Recently my 2012 SG front brake lever got VERY stiff. The lever would travel maybe 1/2" and meet major resistance. If I really crushed the lever the brake would suddenly grab, but it was very unpredictable and uncontrollable.
I rebuilt the front master cylinder, and tested it before reinstalling. Lever operation was very smooth, but after reassembly and reinstallation on the bike the problem persisted. I then rebuilt both calipers, and still the problem persists. If anything, the lever pull is even harder than before.
I'm at my wits end with this. Any suggestions before I bite the bullet and take it to the dealer?
Thanks in advance for any input you may have.

Nick
