Hi there. Where I park my 2016 SGS, I don’t have access to an electric out to plug in a battery tender.
So I purchased Genius Boost (which works great BTW) and I keep all charged up and ready to go in my saddlebag.
Problem is everytime I would need it, I have to remove the seat and dismantle and everything to get to the post. I understand that the battery pigtail can’t handle the Boost jumper cable because of the wire size.
Would it be possible or safe to install the same size gauge cable or lead to positive battery terminal to act as pigtail (with the end covered with a thick rubber cap or something)? And when I need to jump start I simply connect the negative cable of the Boost the bikes body for ground and the Boosts positive to that new pigtail when needed?

You can connect a cable to the starter stud too.
What you are doing is not a good practice. Very tough on the starting/charging systems of your bike to run with a low battery all the time. Not to say it can't be done but if you damage your starter it's going to leave you stranded no matter how much power you jump to it.
Just some things to keep in mind.

I understand. I live in New England and ride in the winter when the roads are clear and dry. But there are occasions were I may not be able to ride perhaps a for week or so. Thinking maybe battery may not get that low if I ride for an hour so when I can.
Got a love heated gear Don’t think I’d wanna connect starter stud.
How much drain on the battery is the 2016 security system?

If you have a battery tender quik connect pigtail on your battery ( being it's a 2016 it should have came with one from the factory) you could just plug this into it , I have one in my saddle bag just in case plus it came with my battery tender .

I have that, it came with the battery tender that I have, but not using it because bike is not parked near a power outlet. The folks at GENIUS say the cable/wire gauge is not compatible.
