Boom audio complaints...

The other day I suddenly had no sound coming out of my speakers. The infotainment center is still working, but just no sound. I've checked fuses and updated the system... Still nothing. Any suggestions out there?

My only suggestion would be to disconnect the battery for a min and see if it resets.
I have not have this issue but have had mine cutout for a second while connected to iPod. It always comes back on but it happens often and is annoying

Once i started using my jumpdrive, i fell in love with the Boom. Sound is 30% clearer and 10% louder. Hurts my ears at near full volume. Only complaint it it switches back to radio after a stop and restart cycle. Need to spend another hour with the manual.

My dealer had a Wireless "WHIM Seminar" today while I was there so I sat in (for a little while). I was not only surprised by all the pieces you need to make this work but also how many components that are necessary to purchase! Add to that the install labor of 3 hours at about $100 per hour. They said you have to remove the outer fairing skin, the gas tank, a side cover and a saddle bag to install. At that point I left, I do not want or need to answer and make calls or text when I'm riding. Isn't that the whole reason we ride to take a break from this $#%t??

I read over the instructions for it. All you really need to do is to remove the fairing and leave the firmware upgrade cable in the fairing. Harley wants it routed to the side cover. They have the firmware on their website for owners to do. If I were installing it, I would leave that cable inside the fairing and zip tie it there. Or route it to the USB port for the radio. All I want to know is how much they charge for the radio firmware upgrade. Got the other info form Harley website. But yea, too many parts in that wiring harness. Supposedly preinstalled in the '18s though. I will pass on it any way. Supposedly only mono audio on all but Harley's Sena headset.

You're right on the money with your comments. We were told there was no additional charge for the firmware upgrade but I'm not sure if that assumes you're going to pay them to install it. I was also told that my Sena Calvary helmet would indeed have stereo audio. Still-all in all, it's not worth it to me.
