So i want to swap out my stock harley radio for an aftermarket one. Preferably one with a satellite radio tuner. Can I swap my stock radio out with any single DIN aftermarket radio? Do I need the standard install kits like in a car? Thanks!

BTW-if it matters I have a 2007 street glide. Everything I believe is stock inside the fairings.

That's a great idea, going for satellite radio. I wonder if it's possible to go aftermarket on a 14... My radio face decided it wants to start collecting moisture behind it now.

I've not heard of anyone doing it so far . . . . .

Yea my dad's ultra glide has a sony aftermarket radio with a tuner for satellite radio. I just need to find out if I can just swap it out like in a car.

Metra makes a kit for the 14's, in the kit is a trim ring so you can use a single din radio, handle bar control module, a LCD screen to show you your temp, eitms and oil pressure. Being that this is a new kit I have heard that Metra is having issues, but they are working on it.

Thanks guys, I'll have to check that out. First I'm gonna have a chat with my dealer about that condensation though.

Danielscottusn, I came up with this with a quick Google search.

You know there is a scratch protector you can take off. It's possible the moisture is between the scratch protector and the radio screen.

I was wondering if there was a scratch protector on the screen... in the corners of the screen I can see another layer on top of it. Is this what you speak of? Any idea how to take it off?

Probably the same way you would a screen protector on a cell phone or something. Gonna check that out, bluebowtie. Thanks for the heads up.

Edit: Just checked, mine is the 4.3, and it doesn't look like it has a screen protector. Which makes sense to me, as it isn't a touch screen unit anyway. Oh well, I'll just bring it up to the dealer when I'm there next time.
