Just for info...
The replacement generic LED 1156 & 1157 bulbs that AutoZone & most auto parts stores sell are NOT "Custom Dynamics" LED's. There is a difference in both quality & price. Custom Dynamics makes theirs to fill the entire lens of the bullet style signals on our Street Glides. They "ain't cheap" at $89 a pair, but the CD LED's are warrantied for life and are MUCH brighter than the generics, even if you spring for the "cree's" which are $29.95 ea. C.D.'s are ALSO "plug&play".
Just my $0.06 worth.

Yea. I'm at autozone now. Not impressed by what I see here. I don't see the forward facing LEDs here anyhow.....prolly gonna go with CD

I installed the Custom Dynamics turn signals on the front and rear of my bike. There is a good bit of additional lighting on the front with these, IMO. It's very noticeably darker on the side if turn signals (Amber) are activated. My bike is charcoal so I swapped the lenses for smoke so I didn't have the stand out Amber lenses.
I also added the aux. passing lamps and it is a huge lighting difference as opposed to headlamp alone. I live, ride mostly in rural areas. This additional lighting is very important to me to illuminate the sides of the road. I'm just running LED bulb replacements for the headlamp and passing lamps. This also was a huge improvement over stock lighting. I asked the dealers parts girl about the Daymaker right after buying my bike. She said she didn't want to sell me one due to the problems they have.
I have Truck-lites and CD plasma rods on the shelf waiting to be installed.
IMO, you can't go wrong with Custom Dynamics. I called once and the customer service AND product knowledge was superb!

The issue, or "problems" with the daymaker that H-D sells was that the original, or "PROJECTOR series of daymaker headlamps **did NOT, according to some, including a very well know motorcycle publication, provide enough "SPREAD". That situation was rectified in mid to late 2015, with the introduction of the "REFLECTOR series which offers a more spread out field of lighting. The REFLECTOR is actually cheaper to produce, and is $100 cheaper through dealerships. The "PROJECTOR" is still available, and is preferred by some riders, but the "Reflector" is now standard equipment on CVO's.
**The PROJECTOR series was updated at the same time to provide more spread.
My dealer had originally installed the PROJECTOR in my SGS at time of purchase, but graciously allowed me to exchange it (Only had about 6 total hours on it at time of exchange.)
When adjusted properly, both of the Daymaker series of headlamps provide excellent lighting, however, I, personally, prefer the REFLECTOR series.
While on the subject, I'd like to THANK Ash, Meg, Sheri, and all the fine folks at customdynamics.com for dialing me in with my recent warranty claim on my Tri-Bar. It was extremely minor, but was "noticeable to me". They completed the replacement, "no questions asked", at "light" speed.

I ended up going with CDs they are super bright. Satisfied!!!
FYI I tried the superbrightleds as I have used them on jap bikes and had been pleased. The socket on the Harley bullet signals is too deep though and the Led won't go deep enough to lock in as the Led towers (I was trying the 56 SMD towers iirc) are wider than the 1157 base. If you look at how deeply a regular 1157 sits in our signals you'll see what I'm talking about
With that said, if you can make them work they are bright! It was a noticeable difference on my Suzuki and they cost less than the competition.

I used these Zevo super brights in the front and rear of my 14 SGS and love them! They don't look like they would be very bright with the tiny diodes but they ARE bright and look great to me. And the transition between the dim and bright is pretty drastic! The cheap lights are hard to see the difference between dim and bright.... As it has been stated the Zevo lights will not go in far enough to lock in, but you can shave the corners of the plastic by the base and they work just fine. I am very pleased with them.

I just purchased the headlight that was around 450...I already own the LED turn signals and was very happy with those...
remember you get what you pay for and you get a life time on these

Bottom line I think is custom dynamics way to go for signals. I went with the Ringz that are black on my black SG and they are awesome. Headlight I went with the JW 8700 black LED and very happy with it. If money is not an option, go with Harley Daymaker. If money is a concern, then JW or Kuryakyn. Depends on what look you like. Just my 2 cents.

Hi Shadow,
I just did the same with the rings and rods, but over here we get the one piece sealed unit for the back and it's crap; cant replace anything in there as far as I am aware and the visibility isn't good - that's why I put on the plasma rods.
At least you can see me now!

I added the Feul Motto LED headlight and it made a big difference vs the stock, also added the CD W/A front signals and the rear LEDS. The Rear LEDS are bright as hell. My riding has been 90% daylight, so the addition of driving lights on the front and plasma rods may still be an option in the future. I really don't think you can have to many lights.
