this is my problem
friend and I were going to a restaurant in la put the address in the boom box to find the route to it
we decided to stop at another place before the one entered left from there enroute back home every time we would come to an intersection or exit it would tell me to exit then when I passed it up it would keep telling me that it was recalculating the route all this was to the destination that I had originally entered
I could find no way to delete the entry I even deleted all entry and it kept doing this
finally after about 100 miles of hearing this over and over I disabled the thing
had the boom box book with me and could find no info on how to solve this problem
should have used the phone as usual and blue toothed it to the bike

Have had the same issue and I got it to stop but couldn't tell you how. Just kept pulling it up and canceling it and finally stopped.

There is a "tools" icon on the lower right, I believe, that looks like 3 straight lines with a "shield" around them.....???? (Probably not a good description.) You have to open the tools icon and delete the route. Same thing happened to me and about drove me nuts! Nothing in the manual that I ever found!

fishin1789 is correct. When on the map screen you'll see a little TV screen shaped icon. Click it and select "STOP".

thanks for the info guys
will try and see what happens but if I remember I tried that and it would not clear
as of now I have the volume turned all the way down and the gps disabled
I can still blue tooth the phone to the boom box for verbal directions
will try your suggestions and see what happens
