Doing my 1k service on my 2016 FLHXS yesterday, I put 34 ounces of fluid in the primary as noted in my 2016 service manual...
I have a friend with a 2015 FLHXS who decided to change out his primary fluid today, and to our surprise his 2015 service manual called for 38 ounces!
We were under the impression that the 2014, 2015, and 2016 models were mechanically identical. Was there in fact a change to the primary in 2016? Or did Harley change their mind on how much fluid should be used? Or did one of us get a book with a misprint? Haha! If anyone happens to know, I'm very to interested find out what the story is here...
