There is a quest/goal going on....

To find out what flashes do ( by name and description ) and what works... some are known... others are unknown.

I have attached a comprehensive list of ALL Flash Files... I didn't make the list... just passing it on for the common general knowledge.

There are a lot of blanks on this list... so if you have a flash done ( either already or requesting one ) feel free to share the info.

Now there is some debate on what flashes are successful on some bikes but not all.... apparently is goes by the VIN and Digital Tech aids in this process... I don't know much more about it at this point.... but any info to shed light on this BLACK HOLE of Flash Files is greatly appreciated and welcomed.

So... how do you find out what flash you have? IT'S EASY using the Onboard Diagnostic Tool!!!!

1.Turn your RUN button ON.... PRESS AND HOLD your MUTE button on the radio

2. Turn your IGN to ON... WAIT for the confirmation msg... CONFIRM and release the MUTE button.

3. In the Audio Section... select EQ. this will list all EQ and Audio options. Scroll thru the list and find your CURRENTLY LOADED flash by looking for the one with the ORANGE BACKGROUND.

4. Note the filename.

OK... I will start...

Flash requested: Amp1 and Amp2 ON... 8 SPEAKER ON
Filename: 135_OFF

Here is a link to the Excel spreadsheet of the file

Ok Todd thanks for the help it was kicking my butt for a little bit. Here is my flash 00_off.bin and as you know mine should be the same as your 135_off.bin. Will let George and the boys know the one to install for the bike. Will get with Peter if this is the one that works.

Tom.. for some reason, you have the same flash as Mojo.... interesting...

Flash requested: Amp1 and Amp2 OFF... 8 SPEAKER ON [as per RF Amp instructions (however I believe I have Amp1-Amp2 ON)]
Filename: 16_OFF.bin

I gave up on going to my dealer on this until we know more, I spent 4 trips trying to get my radio flashed.

So my uneducated question is; are all these flashes currently in the bike, or does it have to be hooked up to the HD computer to actually get that flash?

Yes I noticed that wondering what happened. Will figure it out Wednesday I guess.

These files do not change anything on the EQ or the amount of speakers used. They rather point to the actual configuration file that needs to be loaded/flashed (by HD).

The EQF file is the main file that HD flashes....

Your filename is 16_OFF.bin..... this file points to HU 4ch active rev1e DK 041013.EQF

i will check as soon as i get my bike back from shop.

Wounding if different amp's and set ups make a differents in flashes files. I will add the type of amp & # of speakers.

You can't change anything without Digital Tech from HD.... the numbers will move... but nothing sticks...

mines set at 131_off.bin I have a feeling this is not the setting it should be at. I have 4 focal speakers and Rockford amp. it actually sounds real good decent base.

I have 128_off

HU_121712 rev1d+3dBdyn GDBK_platinum.EQF.

I was told it was a 1 Amp ON/4 Speaker flash.

Mine has been flashed a while ago. Amp 1 & 2 off and 8 speakers on. This was Rockford Fosgate recommended flash.
I'm running a Cycle Sounds 4 chan amp right now, but waiting for my Soundz Customz Level IV package to come in.

I have 199_off.bin that doesn't exist in the list.

Radio is flashed with 1.19.0. When I flashed 1.19.0 there was a small improvement in volume and clarity.

One thing I do after the flash and this comes from flashing new firmware on phones, PC's, ect. I always reset to defaults after the flash. Yes you have to reset all your presets but I have found that if there is s setting the has been removed or changed and you have that setting set it can/will mess things up. Resetting to defaults resets the setting to the new flash thus eliminating any issues.
