Took a ride down to the Gulf over the weekend. Incredibly comfortable ride, with one exception. I discovered that the high gloss paint on the inside of my fairing will reflect sunlight right into my face. Sunburned lips suck. Otherwise it was a fantastic trip.

Nice pics, where did you end up? I learned the same lesson, now I always keep some SPF 30 blistex when I ride now since I live down here.

I camp off of Ft Pickens near Pensacola Beach once a year. Been doing it for about 5 years now. That ride was a lot more comfortable this year than it was on the Dyna. Except for the lips. That was a LONG ride home. Lots of stops. I finally ended up buying some paper dust masks to keep the sun and wind off my lips. Been home 3 days now and they STILL hurt. Added a tube of SPF 30 to my Pouch O' Stuff that lives in my saddlebags to prevent a occurrence.

Great pics.when I was down there it seemed like a lake compared to the Pacific Ocean.

Nice pictures, the sunset came out great. I have lived within a couple of miles of the Gulf for many years, and never tire of riding out there. Something about the ocean or a nice lake just calms the soul.

Nice pictures and yes on the lip balm stuff for protection.

Went down along the coast after doing Natchez Trail earlier this year. Love driving along Hwy 90. Definitely a must do.

Nice, only been through there once, actually have a couple friends around the area I should get up and visit again. Yep, the Blistex has a permanent home on my bike, it's like an AMEX card, don't leave home without it.

I will never forget it again. After a week I can finally smile without wincing in pain.

Just don't make the trip in June-July. I went first week of July last year (wasn't my first choice, weather knocked out the April trip). It was 90+ at night with no breeze. After 4 nights of laying in a pool of my own sweat and not sleeping I called an audible and packed up at 2 am and headed home. This trip the weather was in the low 90s during the day and high 60s at night. Perfect beach camping weather. Not a drop of rain the whole trip.

If finances allow, next year I want to ride down to Key West. Take about 10 days and go all the way down the Gulf Coast and then come back up the Atlantic.
